I can't put the RAPID mode on because my SSD is connected to a NVIDIA controller, that's what it says. Maybe it's because of my mobo that is old, description bellow. I think it's due to the fact that when I open magician I get a message that says magician can't communicate with my SSD. So I downloaded the ISO file from Samsung website and it did burned but I've got a 000E exception in dos, trying to solve that, it lead me to a notice in a samsung manual saying that 840 pro couldn't be updated via bootable CD. As I said the DVD bootable didn't burned and the ISO files from samsung website didn't worked on dos I got a 'Hi i'm exception 000E' which lead me to a sentence in the manual that says 840 pro can't be updated via bootable CD/DVD. But in my case, the USB drive doesn't even show up, and I can't find anything on that. From my research, I've seen other people have had problems AFTER the USB drive is read. I've disabled Secure Boot, and still nothing. However, the USB drive doesn't show up in the boot menu. I made the drive, and it's recognized in Windows (Win10 PRO 圆4). Magician says I have to make a bootable USB drive, then SecureErase by booting from that drive. I used Samsung Magician to begin encrypting the drive.
The SSD firmware is current, as is the UEFI BIOS on my machine. I have a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB m.2 SSD, which is an SED (Self-Encrypting Drive).
